Part of the community infrastructure funding offered through the Tom Glenn Community Impact Fund, Spark! grants provide funding of up to $4,000 to catalyze community-based energy projects with energy-saving and educational outcomes on Maine’s year-round islands and coastal communities. These grants support energy advocates in purchasing energy-saving equipment and services, sharing solutions with other communities, attending conferences and events, and much more.

Eligible projects include projects that improve energy efficiency, focus on renewable energy, and/or reduce consumption of fossil fuels. Projects with environmental, financial, and educational benefits are more likely to receive funding.
