Community Development Officer - Broadband and Energy
Projects

Hannah provides project management and community engagement support to the Institute’s Broadband and Energy teams. She works in partnership with other staff to identify and develop media products and events that provide guidance and resources to local leaders for solving energy challenges and connecting coastal and island communities with reliable, high-speed internet.

Hannah grew up on Deer Isle, but left Maine for a short time to receive her bachelor's degree from Loyola University in New Orleans and a Master in Design from the University of Dundee in Scotland. She moved back to the U.S. in 2012, and now lives in Rockland with her husband, son, and greyhound. She is committed to community development and is enthusiastic about working with the Island Institute after seeing the organization's positive impact on Deer Isle firsthand.
