Kelsey helps individuals and families make an impact in their communities through the work and programs of the Island Institute. As a Major Gifts Officer, she helps build the organization's visibility and resources by growing philanthropic revenue and enhancing fundraising efforts in the Mount Desert Island (MDI) region.

Kelsey has served in numerous development capacities and brings a wide variety of skills to her role. Prior to joining the Island Institute,  she worked in donor relations and as the database manager at Sustainable Harvest International, in development at Mt. Desert Land & Garden Preserve in Seal Harbor, and in events coordination at the Criterion Theater & Arts Center in Bar Harbor. She is a graduate of Colorado State University, 

A resident of Ellsworth, she enjoys hiking on MDI in the summer and practicing yoga to relax. She also loves to create wheel-thrown pottery, which she's been practicing for over 10 years.
